Modern Rustic Home Design

Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, our latest client spent some time in San Francisco before heading up to southern Washington to build her dream home.  Her ideal home would be the beautiful marriage of all three vastly different regional styles.  A little bit modern, a little rustic, some Hacienda accents, all put together with the Pacific Northwest climate in mind.  This project was so intriguing; I just couldn’t wait to get started after our initial meeting in June.

One of the most amazing things about my job is the opportunity to work with people on projects that will be a part of their every day lives.  It has been such a pleasure getting to know this homeowner and finding out what it is that will define her dream home.  As an expectant mother, this project involved some careful planning in anticipation of her growing family.    We are working closely with the builder and contractors to make sure that everything comes together without a hitch–and takes as much stress off of this new mom as possible.

Our collaborative design took shape with dark hardwoods, creamy, textured walls, earthy tiles, modern windows, natural stone elements, and some beautiful, rustic lighting.  We cant wait to see how it all turns out, but for now we’ll settle for some artistic renderings from our in-house graphic artist.
