A Modern, Mediterranean Haven

This modern, Mediterranean-inspired haven is our fourth project for beloved clients-turned-friends. For their new primary home in Scottsdale, Arizona, they wanted something fun and vibrant that correlated with the warmth of the local climate, but with a twist. Instead of going with a southwest style here, as could be expected, we dreamt of other warm locales for inspiration. The Mediterranean is a beautiful blend of warmth and water, which we echoed throughout this home in color, texture, and materials.

Visitors are greeted by ornate, iron doors befitting a Mediterranean villa. The rest of the home is full of elegant arches, creamy stucco, and natural finishes. While we kept the bones of this home neutral, the décor is rich and vibrant, featuring lots of blue, green, yellow, and coral hues. The artwork is energetic and lively but cohesive. Ornate, Mediterranean tile is used throughout the home in different sizes, colors, and textures: above the fireplace, the kitchen backsplash, the primary bathroom flooring, and as a focal point of the outdoor shower.

Every detail suggests a sun-soaked, water-adjacent respite for living well.
