It’s a small world and you never know how two people’s paths will cross. This Lake Oswego client was reading a feature about coffee table books in the Wall Street Journal when she came across Allison’s name. The client was preparing for a significant home remodel, and was originally considering another design firm. However, she felt a nudge to reach out to Allison… and the rest is history.
Our clients set out to build their dream home on the lake during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic brought significant lead times and contractor shortages, but Allison Smith Design got to work. In addition to specifying everything in the home for the contractors, we also did the full scope of interior design.
The client had some ideas for a desired palette of colors and patterns, and wanted the final product to be soothing and timeless. She loved shiny and bright, and we were able to bring those sorts of elements in, while staying earthy. One of our favorite rooms is the great room that features a beautiful cove ceiling, gold chandelier, and big windows overlooking the lake.
The end result is something elegant and sophisticated while also being inviting and warm.
