‘Tis the season to set the table
The holiday season brings together family, friends, and the warmth of tradition. One of the biggest traditions for us is setting the table for each gathering. We draw inspiration from the season and the holiday. It’s our way of expressing ourselves while showing those that share the meal with us that we put forth a little extra effort.
Like we always say, decor and design is so much more than things. It’s about the feeling those objects portray. We hope your holidays are filled with joy and peace.
The 2019 tablescape on the right is from Allison’s new home in Dunthorpe. Handmade napkins (shout out to our PM Julika!), a tiny poinsettia under glass, classic crystal candle holders, and a natural grass table runner round out this eclectic design.
Allison draws inspiration from the overall feel of the home and the design style of its owners. Below are some other tablescapes Allison has created from over the years, each one unique to the style of the space.
This SW hills home features sunny yellow walls and dark accent pieces. Back in 2014, Allison wanted to play off the cheery interior to create a fun, whimsical tablescape using white and red. Love the stags head platter!
Next up is Allison’s classic Victorian. By researching the history of this home, we have a jumping off point that provides theme colors, fabric styles, finishes and accents. We went for a refined brunch theme with lush velvet and sweet peas for the centerpiece.
We hope that these tablescapes have inspired you to get creative for your next interior decor project.
Happy Holidays from the ASD Team!
